Sam African Hair Braiding Salon Policy
To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all our valued clients, please take a moment to review our salon policies. Your understanding helps us provide the best possible service.
Appointments & Deposits
A $25 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking through our website to secure your appointment. This deposit will be applied towards your total service fee.
The remaining balance for your service must be paid in cash only.
Same-day appointments are subject to availability and can only be booked by calling us directly – please do not book online for same-day services.
We recommend avoiding booking an appointment on the same day as an event. We take pride in our work and will not rush, as some styles may require additional time.
Punctuality & Cancellations
‘Hey, just a heads up! To make the most of your appointment and respect everyone’s time, we kindly ask that you arrive 15 minutes early. If you’re running more than 15 minutes behind, we’ll have to cancel and reschedule for another time. Looking forward to seeing you!”
Appointments will be canceled for arrivals more than 15 minutes late, and you will need to reschedule.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please do so at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. You can manually cancel or reschedule via the Acuity Scheduling link in your confirmation email.
You may reschedule an appointment once. Subsequent rescheduling attempts will result in cancellation.
Please note: if you cancel three appointments, you will no longer be able to book with us.
All payments and deposits are non-refundable.
Service Guarantee & Satisfaction
Your satisfaction is our priority! If you feel any braids are too tight, please inform your stylist immediately during the service. We will gladly adjust them.
Once your service is complete, we are not responsible for adjustments, and a new service charge will apply.
Before leaving the salon, please thoroughly check your hair. No refunds are offered once the service has been rendered and you have departed.
Payment is due upon completion of your service.
Hair Preparation & Health Concerns
For the best results, please arrive with your hair washed, thoroughly detangled, stretched, and properly blown out from root to end. Alternatively, you may select our “blowout” add-on service.
Please do not apply any oils or products to your hair on the day of your appointment.
If your hair is less than 4 inches long, or if you have hair loss or significantly damaged edges, a consultation is required before booking an appointment to ensure we can provide the desired service.
Please notify us of any product allergies you may have. You are welcome to bring your own products if preferred. Please understand that we cannot be held responsible for allergic reactions.
Salon Environment & Policies
For the comfort and safety of all, unsupervised children are strictly prohibited in the salon. Please arrange for proper childcare if you need to bring your child.
No pets are permitted in the salon.
Our salon reserves the right to refuse service to anyone exhibiting improper behavior, appearing intoxicated, whose health condition may compromise the service, or who does not adhere to our salon policies. In such cases, deposits will not be refunded.
